PREDATOR ROUND-UP

Join us for the 2nd Annual Spring Predator Roundup, an exciting one night hunting contest designed for teams of up to three members. 

​

Aim for the top cash out prizes by harvesting the most coyotes you can. The top 3 teams with the most coyotes harvested will earn cash payouts.   

​

Dive deeper into the challenge with side pots for the Heaviest Racoon, Smallest Coyote, Heaviest Coyote, Most Raccoons, and more, with each pot offering a 50/50 split.

 

Celebrate your victories and share your tales at the awards ceremony, complete with food and refreshments, at the end off this event. Don't miss your chance to be part of this inaugural competition and win great prizes!

CONTEST OVERVIEW

Team Size:  Maximum of 3 People

              $10 / Side Pot / Team

Registration is CLOSED at 5pm on March 1st, 2025.

​

Contest Start:  5pm on March 1st, 2025 (Saturday)

 

Contest End: 10am on March 2nd, 2025 (Sunday)

​

Check-In: 10am - 12:30pm on March 2nd, 2025(Sunday)

​

Awards Ceremony: 1pm on March 2nd, 2025 (Sunday). You do not have to be present for the  ceremony, once you've checked in.  

​

Rules: Specific contest rules will be emailed to each team member, and will be read aloud

during a Facebook Live video on March 1st, 2025 at 4:45 pm.

​

Food & Refreshments: For this year’s event, we’ve teamed up with Smoke N Ash's Catering to provide contestants with the option to purchase delicious BBQ and sides, with prices varying from $10 to $20 based on your choices.

RULES

  1. All Michigan DNR Hunting Rules Apply, as well as any state and federal firearms laws.

  2. All participants must show a valid Michigan Hunting License with the appropriate endorsement or harvest tag for this hunting contest at the time of check-in.

  3. All armed hunters participating in this contest must be part of a registered team.

  4. All participants must register before the contest begins.

  5. Only registered hunters are eligible for prizes and the banquet.

  6. Up to 3 participants per team. This is a TEAM event. This means you must hunt with the other members of your team. Team members are not allowed to split up or hunt in separate locations away from the other members.

  7. Qualifying predators must be taken during competition dates and times. No early start.

  8. Predators must be shot. (No trapping, snaring, roadkill, etc.)

  9. Teams cannot use dogs to hunt coyotes or tree coons. 

  10. Out-of-State hunting is prohibited.

  11. Immediately after a kill, take a video with the criteria below, and send it to the number provided within 1 hour of each harvest.  Phone number and code word will be given at the start of the contest via our Facebook Page. 

    1. 2 of 3 team members or 1 of 2 team members must be in each video.​

    2. Print off the official kill card, fill it out completely, and have one team member hold it in the video with the kill while shaking the coyote. 

  12. A confirmation text will follow, and the animal will be counted, or further instructions will be given.  If a picture is not received or acknowledged the animal does NOT count.

  13. Each team must turn in their own predators during the banquet.

  14. All predators must be at Hilltop sports by 10 am Sunday morning. 

  15. The Judge’s Rulings on animals, discrepancies, and/or disqualifications are final. No exceptions.

  16. It is the responsibility of the team members to split prizes and pots. Hilltop will not be responsible for dividing winnings amongst team members.

  17. Physical prizes cannot be exchanged for cash and there are no substitutions.

  18. In the event of a tie for a category measured by weight, the animal with the longest tail will win.

  19. Protest of Winning Team(s): In the event of a discrepancy of the winning team(s), the Team Captain may file a written protest within 60-minutes of the announcement of said teams. The Judges will randomly select 5 participants to bear witness to the hearing of the protest. At the end of the hearing, the 5 participants will determine if the protest has merit. 

  20. Each team is responsible for their animals at the end of the contest.

  21. Hilltop reserves the right to change these or any contest rules without notice. All rules are subject to change. 
     

Your participation in this contest signifies your understanding that all the predators to be taken during the Predator Round-Up challenge will be done legally and according to the rules and regulations listed above.
